Jardin des Bergeries (Saint-Lactencin, 4km)
A 2-hectare free-form country garden. Open to the public in June (dates vary each year). You'll find hundreds of perennials, country hedges, a pond, undergrowth, a vegetable garden, an orchard and a large meadow where you can take a break and enjoy this delicious moment of serenity.
Le Plan d'eau de Saint Genou (8km)
This 36-hectare lake has a fitness trail, playgrounds and picnic areas, a fishing area and a supervised swimming area during the summer months, except Mondays. A large picnic area and sanitary facilities are also available. Young and old alike can let off steam on the playground. Parking nearby.
Etang de Belle Bouche (Mézières en Brenne, 18km)
Leaving from Belle Bouche, this is a family walk in the heart of the Brenne. This easy loop allows you to explore the countryside without covering too many kilometres (20km). Its advantage is that it runs alongside the magnificent ponds of Belle Bouche and Vigneaux, taking paths and small roads with very little traffic through the varied landscapes characteristic of the Brenne: meadows, woods and moorland.
Chèvrerie de la Caillonnière (Paulnay, 26km)
Visit the Caillonnière farm, where Alpine goats are reared. The milk produced here is perfect for making fresh, ashy, mature cheese in the form of pyramids, buche, palet and crottin. This traditional cheese dairy makes pyramids of Pouligny saint Pierre. A delicious local PDO cheese that you can taste and buy on site. Please note that the farmers can be very busy, so don't forget to let them know before you visit.
Ecoparc des Chènevières (Déols 26km)
A natural area in the heart of the Castelroussine conurbation, within the Chènevières Eco Park. A 4km trail with educational markers and wetland platforms, comprising the Ste Hélène and Chènevières meadows and the medicinal plant scent garden. A wild island where nature can express itself right in the heart of the conurbation. This mosaic of grassland and marshland, punctuated by wet woodland, is a remarkable refuge for wildlife. Together with the adjacent meadows, such as those at Le Montet, they form an essential corridor for the movement of species.
Train du Bas Berry (Ecueillé, 26km)
Embark on an unforgettable journey aboard a steam train from the 20th century or a railcar from the 1980s. This historic tourist train runs along part of the famous metric track from Le Blanc to Argent-sur-Sauldre. The stations, level crossings and rolling stock, all protected as historic monuments, bear witness to the region's railway history. This bucolic 40km journey, between Argy and Valençay, passes through woods and meadows, offering an authentic, unspoilt panorama.
The Brenne Regional Park (Maison de la Brenne, Rosnay: 27km)
3000 ponds, 267 bird species including 150 breeding species, 100,000 cistude tortoises, 1600 plant species including wild orchids and thousands of insects and animals... A paradise for naturalists and visitors looking for a natural and authentic setting. The PNR Brenne offers more than 250 nature outings accompanied by experienced guides, botanical introductions, fun activities for children... and numerous signposted hiking trails.
Vélo Rail de Valençay (42km)
Have you ever tried an electrically-assisted bicycle attached to a railway line? Departing from Valençay station, the Vélo Rail promises an adventure suitable for all levels and ages. Two routes are available: 12km and 22km return. Exercise but not too much! while enjoying the tranquil charm of the gâtine forest. It's an experience you're sure to enjoy.

Rocher de la Fileuse (71km)
Friendly hikers, put on your boots and take the rather steep route of the Rocher de la Fileuse (yellow markings), and off you go for a 3.5-hour walk on one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the Indre, with an obligatory passage through the famous panorama of the ruins of Crozant. You'll love the view!
